NYtip: Frozen winter noses and public transportation

Winter is upon us…

I’m sure all my fellow cold weather-sufferers are more than familiar with the problem of runny noses in the winter. But I have found that in NYC, when you are constantly moving from frigid sidewalk to semi-warm bus (or subway) to cold sidewalk again, your body goes through a lot of temperature changes…which unfortunately causes a runny nose to become an especially pressing problem. So take it from me, pack the pockets of your winter coats with some loose tissues for easy grabbing in cold weather nose emergencies. Don’t bother with this mini packet of tissues business. If you’re stuffed into an overloaded bus and you feel that dreaded drip starting, you need that tissue FAST. Forget the seemingly-convenient packets–you’ll thank me later.

Stay warm!
Xoxo,
Prep in the City
